Residential Support Worker Overview

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them develop independence? We’re looking for a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our client’s team in Lymington. This role is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of young people and help them build confidence, life skills, and positive relationships.

Residential Support Worker Responsibilities

ï‚·Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with young people (YP) to help them achieve their potential.
ï‚·Support young people with a variety of needs, including Autism, ADHD, ASD, creating a safe, nurturing environment.
ï‚·Encourage independence by assisting with day-to-day activities
ï‚·Help plan and implement individual care plans, ensuring each YP’s unique needs are met.
ï‚·Collaborate with the team to develop strategies that promote positive behaviours and emotional well-being.
ï‚·Offer guidance and emotional support, acting as a role model for positive behaviours and healthy relationships.
ï‚·Work closely with external agencies, such as social workers, to ensure young people receive the best care and support.

Residential Support Worker Requirements

ï‚·Driver’s Licence is Essential due to the lack of local transport links.
ï‚·2 years’ experience in residential childcare, ideally working with young people with additional needs.
ï‚·Experience working with young people with Autism, ADHD, ASD.
ï‚·Ability to encourage independence while providing appropriate levels of support and care.
