We are looking for Residential Childcare Workers for a newly established children's home in Southampton. This is a rewarding role for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference to the lives of children and young people, including those who may have experienced trauma, challenging life circumstances or difficulties with emotional regulation and behaviour.
As a Residential Childcare Worker you will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people. Your main will be to build positive relationships with young people, support them with their daily routines and promote positive behaviour to manage challenging situations.
 
Residential Childcare Workers will work closely with the families, social workers and other professionals, follow individual care plans and assist the Young People in activities and appointments.
 
We are looking for individuals who are caring and patient. Good communication skills, resilience, ability to maintain professional boundaries are just some of the skills we will be looking for in an ideal candidate.
 
Previous experience in residential childcare, children's services, social care, education, youth work or a similar environment is desirable. However, we may also consider candidates who have the right attitude, transferable skills and commitment to working with children and young people.
