Children’s Home Registered Manager (4 bed home)
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Salary: Up to £55,800 (includes Ofsted and Occupancy bonuses)
Fulltime Hours – 39 hours per week
Children’s Home Registered Manager Responsibilities
First for Support are delighted to be working alongside our client in their search for a Children’s Home Registered Manager in Nottingham. The successful candidate will join our client in the running of their brand new 4 bed home.
Children’s Home Registered Manager Responsibilities
ï‚·The Children’s Hopme Registered Manager needs to hold accountability and overall responsibility for the day to day management of the home to ensure we deliver a high quality level of care, ensuring the home actively promotes the rights of young people as individuals and provides them with quality care in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation.
ï‚·To lead a team of care workers, in conjunction with relevant legislation and guidance to ensure that good outcomes are achieved for young people within the home to meet their physical, psychological, emotional & social development. To contribute to the overall ethos, values and aims of organisation.
ï‚·The development and delivery of high-quality care in accordance with relevant Legislation, Regulations, including Ofsted SCCIF and The Organisations Policy and Procedures guidelines, showing an awareness to integrate an equal opportunities approach, and working in an anti-discriminatory way and incorporate safeguarding responsibilities.
ï‚·Adherence to all legislative guidelines in respect of Health & Safety and ensure that all staff have adequate working knowledge and training.
ï‚·The keeping of appropriate records relating to both young people and employees and the implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems within the organisation.
ï‚·To attend, prepare for and chair various meetings both internally and externally.
ï‚·On a rota basis to take on-call responsibilities – if required to undertake sleep in shift to cover shortfalls.
ï‚·Oversight of all admissions and discharges to the home.
ï‚·To be involved in the recruitment of new employees, ensuring all relevant checks are completed.
ï‚·To maintain effective Rota’s and complete monthly expenses.
ï‚·Management of Physical and Financial Resources
ï‚·Monitoring the service budget and all financial transactions, ensuring financial targets are achieved and adhered to.
ï‚·To liaise with commissioners/ referrals manager regarding admissions.
ï‚·To attend and contribute to psychotherapy leadership and management forums and to lead these meetings within team.
Children’s Home Registered Manager Requirements
ï‚·Experience of managing a team
ï‚·Level 5 Diploma or working trowards
ï‚·Hold a UK driving licence
ï‚·Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
ï‚·Participate in management forum and contribute to development of work practice, policies and procedures etc.
Children’s Home Registered Manager Benefits
ï‚·25 days per annum plus 8 statutory holidays
ï‚·Upto £3000 Bonus depending of Ofsted report
ï‚·£400 full occupancy bonus
ï‚·On Call payments- £25 weekday, £35 weekends
ï‚·39 hours full time with some sleep in duties pro rata
ï‚·Petrol Allowance
ï‚·Pension
